This is, admittedly, one of my favorite products made to date: The Lavender Hand + Body Butter.

It is gentle, nourishing to the skin, and has a lovely Lavender aroma that is soothing to both the body and mind.

I like using it at night and/or after a shower - especially then, because our bodies absorb the ingredients better. Very little of this product goes a long way.

Here is a brief overview of the ingredients and their therapeutic benefits.

Beeswax

It protects skin from drying out by attracting water. It effectively creates a protective layer, helps lock in moisture and, thus, keep the skin hydrated. Beeswax can naturally help exfoliate the skin and “remove” dead skin cells, while ultimately aiding in repairing damaged skin.

Mango Butter

Mango butter has a luxurious feel. It is rich in antioxidants and essential fatty acids, effectively nourishing dry skin while improving complexion. Frequently used, it helps give skin that “glowy” feeling.

Kokum Butter

One of the more exotic butters, this one promotes elasticity and softness of the skin while preventing dermal damage. It acts as a natural thickening agent in this product, but - bonus! - does not clog pores.

Jojoba oil

Jojoba oil is a wonderful carrier oils that is fast-absorbing with a light, non-greasy texture. It is rich in vitamins and antioxidants helping to keep skin healthy and youthful. It is also the closest carrier oil to our skin sebum, making it an ideal skin-nourishing component of this Lavender Hand + Body Butter.

Apricot Kernel oil

Apricot kernel oil is another non-greasy skin emollient with essential fatty acids. It is quickly absorbed without clogging pores and leaves skin feeling smooth. Hence, it makes for a great addition to this product.

Lavender Essential oil

Pure, unadulterated Lavender essential oil has so many benefits. As for the skin, it is soothing, aids in healing minor skin irritations and inflammation, as well as blemishes. Plus, it has a lovely, light floral scent that is calming to the mind, making it an ideal oil to promote a calm atmosphere or help us unwind at bedtime.
